How to Install libbde1 software package in Debian 8 (Jessie)

libbde1 software package provides Library to access the BitLocker Drive Encryption (BDE) format., you can install in your Debian 8 (Jessie) by running the commands given below on the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install libbde1

libbde1 is installed in your system.

Make ensure the libbde1 package were installed using the commands given below,

$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libbde1 *

You will get with libbde1 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
